Junior QA Engineer – (€55k-€60k)
Dublin, Ireland – Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement detailed, comprehensive, and structured test plans and test cases to validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyse requirements and review acceptance criteria to create well-defined and traceable tests.
- Perform various testing types, including functional, end-to-end (E2E), exploratory, regression, and integration tests.
- Participate in defect triage meetings and track bugs to resolution in collaboration with developers.
- Contribute to test management reports and metrics.
- Work closely with an external automation partner.
- Take full responsibility for the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and sign off on the quality of deliverables.
- Keep current with the latest testing methodologies and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software quality assurance with hands-on expertise in automation tools.
- Strong understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and thorough test plans and cases.
- Proven experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools for code, GUI, and APIs such as Selenium, Python, Postman, and Tosca.
- Technical skills in SQL and Agile practices are preferred.
- Experience with non-functional testing is a plus.
Highly Desirable:
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages is a bonus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Strong collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- ISTQB certification or similar is a plus.
